In the midst of reinventing itself, and recent host to the 2008 Summer Olympics, Beijing is a place of frenzied construction. At the same time, the capital city of China remains an epicenter of tradition.
The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies, founded in 1998, strives to educate the academic community about China. Immersion experiences with host students, language tutors, roommates, plus extensive educational travel to far corners of China give Beijing Center students an intimate and unparalleled experience with China. Eligibility:
Available to Juniors and Seniors at the time of participation. Priority will be given to students with a declared major in the Albers School of Business and Economics.

Academics:
The Beijing Center offers nearly 75 courses each year across 13 different fields of study, all taught in English. Students will be able to fulfill core classes as well as business major requirements. Students will be required to enroll in Chinese (Mandarin) language classes.
Courses include:
China in the World Economy
Marketing in China
International Finance
International business
Reform and Development in the Chinese Economy
Housing:
University-run residences, homestay available for advanced Chinese language speakers.
Application:
Complete the SU Education Abroad Global Application, linked below, and submit it to the Education Abroad Office by the published deadlines. Upon notification of SU nomination, students will be asked to complete additional materials directly to TBC.
